Hosting a Afterinfection server

Afterinfection is a zombie survival game built in Unreal Engine 4 by a small team from Thailand, published on Steam as RePatrick21. It entered Early Access in February 2022 and was fully released on 19 May 2025.

Players start with nothing on a large island with a 4x4 km map, searching for food, water, weapons and crafting supplies. The game includes both PvP combat and PvE events. A rented server keeps your island running for your group or community.

What to compare

  • Memory and CPU. An Unreal Engine survival world with players and zombies needs a solid plan, so compare RAM and CPU.
  • PvP or PvE settings. Check you can change server rules from the panel or config files.
  • Backups. Automatic backups protect bases and loot.
  • Location. Pick a datacentre near most of your players.
