What to compare

• RAM and CPU headroom. Like ARK, ATLAS can be memory-hungry, especially with several regions running. Ask the provider what they recommend for your player count and how many regions you plan to run.
• Custom grid support. If you want multiple linked regions, confirm the host supports that, because a single region is much simpler than a full grid.
• Mods. Check whether the host supports Steam Workshop mods and how easily you can manage them.
• Config access. Rates, PvP rules, ship and building limits are set in server files, so look for direct access.
• Backups. Ships, bases and companies represent a lot of time, so automatic backups and easy restores are valuable.
• Location and DDoS protection. Public servers attract attacks, and naval combat is sensitive to latency.
• Update handling. Confirm the provider keeps the server matched to the game version.
