The Best Conan Exiles Server Hosting

Hosting a Conan Exiles server

Conan Exiles servers can be tuned to very different styles: PvP, PvE, or PvE with conflict. A well-run server is often built around its settings, because thralls, building, the purge and harvest rates can all be changed. The game also has several maps, including the Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah, so it is worth checking which your host supports and what your group owns.

What to compare

• RAM and CPU for your setup. Modded servers and busy public servers need more than a small private one. Ask the provider for a recommendation based on your player count and mod list.
• Steam Workshop mods. Most communities run mods. Check that the host lets you add, order and update them without a support ticket.
• Rule set and settings access. PvP, PvE and conflict modes, the purge, harvest and XP rates and building rules are set in server files, so direct access or a solid panel matters.
• Maps. Confirm the host supports the map you want, including DLC maps if you own them.
• Backups and restores. Bases and characters represent a lot of time, so automatic backups matter.
• DDoS protection and location. PvP servers are common targets, and latency matters in combat.
• Restarts and updates. Scheduled restarts and quick updates keep the server healthy after game patches.

Conan Exiles server hosting FAQ

Can I run mods on a hosted Conan Exiles server?

Yes, on hosts that support Steam Workshop mods. Check how mods are installed and how easily you can change the load order.

Can I choose between PvP and PvE?

Yes. Server settings let you pick a mode and tune rules such as the purge and harvest rates.

Does the host need to support my map?

Yes. Check the provider supports the map you want, especially if you plan to use paid DLC maps.

Can I host a Conan Exiles server for free?

Yes, if you run it yourself. The Conan Exiles Dedicated Server is a free download through SteamCMD and runs on Windows. Your PC then has to stay on for anyone to play, so most clans rent a server.
