What these counts mean
Claimed communities plus 0 unclaimed servers listed from Steam's public server list, counted by unique map endpoint. Snapshot: 2026-10-04T21:20:50+00:00. Counts describe server sessions, not unique people.

About the DayZ server list
Where the servers come from
We read Steam's DayZ server list every few hours and keep the busiest community servers: up to 300 that have had three or more players in at least half of our checks over the last week. Bohemia Interactive's official servers and servers still using a default name are left out, and a server drops off after 14 days without players.
What each server shows
Its map, first or third person, the Workshop mods it runs (each linked to its Steam page), whether it needs a password, and how fast in-game days and nights pass. It all comes from Steam and the server itself, and we never collect player names.
Claimed communities
Owners claim a server by putting a short code in its name for a few minutes. Once we see it, they can add a description, rules, wipe plans and a Discord link, and show above unclaimed servers.
How to choose a DayZ server
Pick your map
Chernarus is the original. Livonia is the DLC map, and Deer Isle and Namalsk are popular map mods.
First or third person
First-person servers only let you see through your own eyes, which changes how fights and ambushes play out. Each listing shows which one a server uses.
Check the mods
Each listing names its Workshop mods. A big list means a long first download.
Look at the time speed
Servers speed up in-game time; fast nights mean less time in the dark.
Open or password
Some communities share a password on their Discord. Use the Open filter to join straight away.
Look at the busiest hours
The player charts show whether a server is busy when you play, not just right now.
DayZ server list FAQ
How is this DayZ server list ordered?
+
By the players we observe on each server. Claimed communities appear first, then unclaimed servers, busiest first. Sponsored Server placements are labelled and never change this order.
Are official DayZ servers listed?
+
No. We list community servers only. Bohemia's official servers are left out, and you can find them in the game's browser.
Where do the player counts come from?
+
From Steam's server list and the server's own public query. A count older than 15 minutes is not shown: a missing count means unknown, not zero. We never collect player names.
How do I join a server from this list?
+
In DayZ or the DayZ Launcher, search for the server name, or add it by IP address and port. Each listing names the Workshop mods you need.
How do I add or claim my DayZ server?
+
If it is listed, open it and click "Claim this server", then put the short code we give you in hostname in your serverDZ.cfg for a few minutes. As soon as we see it, the server is yours. If it is not listed, use "List Your DayZ Server" with its IP address and port. Listings are free.
Does TopServer.Network host DayZ servers?
+
No. We compare hosting providers. If you want to run your own server, see our DayZ server hosting comparison.
