Rust Server List

Rust is played wipe to wipe, so this list is too. Every server shows when it last wiped, its declared wipe schedule and group limit, and the players we actually observe. Fresh, busy servers come first.

What these counts mean

Reviewed communities plus 0 unclaimed servers listed from Steam's public server list, counted by unique map endpoint. Players come from Steam's server list or our own status checks, and only counts from the last 15 minutes are shown. 0 of 0 endpoints have a fresh player count. Missing counts are unknown, not zero. Snapshot: 2026-10-01T21:46:24+00:00. Counts describe server sessions, not unique people.

How to choose a Rust server

Start with the wipe

A server is busiest in the first day or two after a wipe. Join late and you face built-up bases; join fresh and everyone starts equal.

Match the schedule to your time

Weekly wipes suit short, intense sessions. Monthly wipes suit people who want to build big and play the long game.

Check the group limit

A solo, duo or trio limit keeps large clans out. Servers with no limit set can be dominated by big groups.

Vanilla or boosted rates

Vanilla is the game as designed. 2x and above speed up gathering so you get to raiding sooner.

Watch how the population holds

The "population since last wipe" chart on each server page shows whether players stay after day one.

Pick a region near you

Rust is unforgiving of high ping. Choose a server that declares your region.

Rust server list FAQ

How is this Rust server list ordered?

By default, by the players we observe, weighted towards servers that wiped recently, so a fresh busy server comes before an old one with the same players. Creative, minigame and aim-training servers follow the survival servers and have their own pages. You can also sort by players, last wipe or votes. Sponsored placements are labelled.

Where does the wipe time come from?

From the server itself. Every Rust server reports when its current map was created in Steam's public server list, and we show that as the last wipe. We do not guess it.

How do you know when a server will wipe next?

Every server wipes at the forced monthly wipe, on the first Thursday of the month around 19:00 UK time. An earlier date is only shown as an estimate, when the server declares a weekly or biweekly schedule and its last two wipes we observed match it. Owners who claim their server can confirm the real schedule.

What does a rate marked with * mean?

The rate was read from the server name (for example "2x"), so it is a lower-confidence guess. When an owner claims the server and enters its rates, the mark disappears.

What is the group limit based on?

The maximum team size the server reports. Servers left on the game's default of 8 are shown without a limit, because the default does not tell us what the owner intends.

Are official Facepunch servers listed?

No. This list is for community servers that an owner can claim and describe.

How do I add or claim my Rust server?

If it is listed, open it and click "Claim this server": you put a short code in your server name (server.hostname) for a few minutes and a reviewer confirms it. Servers appear automatically once they have had players regularly.
