Hosting an Alchemy Factory server
Alchemy Factory is a co-op automation game from D5 Copperhead, published by Gamirror Games. Players automate production with conveyor belts, pipes and magical devices, stock a shop with potions, jewellery and relics, and complete commissions. Version 1.0 is out on Steam with the Wagon Logistics System, the Grand Portal and revamped shopkeeping.
The game supports online and LAN co-op, and you can host a dedicated server so the factory stays ready for everyone to return to. Steam Workshop blueprints let players share production layouts.
What to compare
- CPU performance. Long production chains keep the server busy, so compare the processor behind each plan.
- Save backups. Automatic backups protect a factory your group has spent weeks building.
- File access. Look for file access so you can upload an existing world.
- Location. Choose a datacentre close to most of your players to keep latency low.
