Hosting a Day of Dragons server
Day of Dragons is an online creature survival game from Beawesome Games, in Steam Early Access since December 2019. Players live as one of several dragon species, or as an elemental, in a large open world with several biomes. Some creatures are players and some are AI, and dragons can lay eggs for other players to hatch, passing on stats from both parents.
The game is played on dedicated servers hosted by players or communities, so a rented server is how most groups set their own rules and keep a world online.
What to compare
- Player slots. Size the plan to your community and check how the price changes as you add slots.
- Updates during Early Access. The game is still in development and the server has to match the client. A host that updates promptly keeps everyone able to join.
- Config access. Look for file access so you can edit server settings and admin lists yourself.
- Location. Choose a datacentre close to most of your players to keep latency low.
