Hosting a Legends of Aria server

Legends of Aria is a sandbox MMORPG where players craft nearly all the gear, join guilds and shape the world. The current version, Legends of Aria Eternal, released on Steam in September 2026 from Emergent Worlds, with faster skill gains, a reworked enchanting system and more mod support.

Eternal includes a Dedicated Server Launcher for running your own server, which the community calls a shard. A rented shard lets your community set its own rules and stay online around the clock.

What to compare

  • File access for mods. Custom shards often change content and rules, so check you get full file access.
  • Resources for population. Compare RAM and CPU against how many players you expect on your shard.
  • Backups. Automatic backups protect player-built economies and housing.
  • Location. Pick a datacentre near most of your players.
