Hosting an EXFIL server
EXFIL is a tactical first-person shooter from Tiny Leviathan, in Steam Early Access since December 2024. It mixes PvP, PvPvE and co-op Combat Ops in which AI factions fight across the map, with simulated ballistics and proximity voice chat. The team expects to reach 1.0 in late 2026 or early 2027.
The developer supports self-hosted and dedicated servers. Server owners can set AI presence, time of day, weather, available weapons and respawn rules, so a rented server lets your group run its own scenarios.
What to compare
- Settings access. Check the host exposes the game's rule settings or gives you file access to change them.
- CPU for AI. AI factions run on the server. Compare CPU as well as memory if you plan heavy Combat Ops.
- Update speed. Early Access updates arrive often. A host that updates promptly keeps your squad able to join.
- Location. Tactical fights need low ping. Pick a datacentre near your group.
